Every four months, Next’s menu completely changes, shifting its focus to a different culinary region, theme, or moment in time. Past menus have included Ancient Rome; Paris: 1906; The French Laundry: 1996; Childhood; and over 20 other ambitious menus.

Next was named the Best New Restaurant in the U.S. by the James Beard Foundation in 2012. The Chicago Tribune has awarded Next the highest rating of four stars a record 19 times, reviewing each of our menus as if it were an entirely new restaurant.

Chef Grant Achatz and Nick Kokonas opened Next in 2011.
